We here at the Workshop haven't seen any snow this winter, but we are hopeful! So much so that we chose January, from our Let It Snow, Man! Collection to share with you this week.

January was created in 1998 and was part of our Let It Snow, Man! collection that included Jolly, Jewbel and Juniper. If you have any of these delightful white snow bunnies with green and white striped knits scarves, hats and sweaters January is a must for your collection! She has red trim on her mittens and her hat is lined with red as well. She is holding a whimsical miniature birdhouse on her crook and is even carrying her own very "furst" purse, just like the ones you can purchase for your little bunny. January is 16" tall and just as the first snowflake is the most special, this Snow Bunny is the first of her kind and is marked as #1.

We have updated our schedule for the fun and creative workshops we are offering at our Hutch Studios in La Conner, WA.

"Re-Purposed Jar Light" workshop
With a glass jar and a tin can you can make a fun and funky light. *Participants need to bring a jar with lid (at least 5" tall by 3" wide) All other materials are included in this workshop.

Wednesday January 11th    2:00pm-3:30 pm   Cost $45

"Origami Bird Mobile" workshop
Create a fun flying bird mobile. This project requires a bit of paper folding and wire bending. All materials are included in this workshop.

Monday January 16th   2:00pm-3:30pm   Cost $25

"Sweet Little Tweet" workshop
This is a fun project using sculpey clay, paint, wire, cardboard and paper to create a sweet little bird swinging in a funky cage. Finished cage is approx. 4" tall. All Materials are included in this workshop.

Monday January 23rd   1:00pm-3:30pm   Cost $30

Lindsay and Her Snuggling Silly Buddy

Whether enjoying the sun or just having a snuggle,
little Lindsay Sirota does not go anywhere without her Silly Buddy.

In May 2010 just a few days before Lindsay's birth, her mother Regan was out and about shopping in The Big Apple. Of course being an expecting mother, she had to hop into Buy Buy Baby. She saw the delightful display of Bunnies By The Bay and just had to have a Silly Buddy to give to her wee one when she was born.

As you can see, it was love at first cuddle and nibble for Lindsay and her Silly Buddy. Lindsay's mother, Regan loves the Silly Buddy's super soft fabric and flexible material so it is perfect for Lindsay to hold in her tiny hands or stuff in her mouth! Regan says that even after daily washings, the Silly Buddy that has become a 'snack' still looks brand new!

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Regan Sirota and her daughter Lindsay for the adorable story of their snuggling Silly Buddy.

We treasure each story about how a Buddy Blanket, Silly Buddy, Bye Bye Buddy or plush toy becomes your baby’s best friend and then grows with them in toddler-hood, preschool and beyond! "Hi there,

I don't know why I haven't communicated with you until now....Bunnies By the Bay products have been a part of our lives since our oldest received the Tadbit Blanket Buddy in his first Easter basket six years ago. Tadbit has been with him everywhere! Two Easters after that one he received Tadbit's fiesty little sidekick, Tadbit (the one with legs), who he calls "Little Tadbit."

When our daughter was born in 2006, our son's gift to her was the Blanket Buddy Blossom, which she named "Bunny Bun-Bun." She, too, became a treasured member of our family. I found it uncanny that both children clung to and had affection for both of these toys above all others.

Our children are now 6 and 4, and these little friends have still been bedtime companions, as well as comforting aids when duty calls (such as doctor's visits).

This weekend has been sad for us, though. We have lost Bunny Bun-Bun. She went with us to the mall but my husband instructed that she stay in the car, which she did. She did not go into the mall with us, but we are beginning to think that she might have fallen out somehow into the parking lot.

We have spent the past two days retracing our steps and searching through our car (and our house) to no avail. Our daughter is pitiful...she is drawing pictures of her with her bunny and tears up every time she's mentioned. I didn't know this would also be as difficult for me emotionally as it is for her! I have lost sleep over our little lost friend, too, and am literally praying that God will show us where she is.

I broke down and ordered another one from a specialty store across the country, since all of the stores around us were inconveniently out of the bunnies. As the new one is shipped across the country, our daughter is trying to be brave and accept her as a new pal she can meet and love, but I can tell she still has her heart with the original. There is, and always will be, one true Bunny Bun-Bun.

I've attached a couple of photos since I read on the blog that you enjoy customer and fan photos and such. Feel free to use them on your blog. Thanks for continuing to make such precious lovies for children. It says a lot when a company does something exceptionally well and doesn't change over the years. We greatly appreciate it."

I just wanted to write and tell you how wonderful everything is from Bunnies by the bay! My 5 month old daughter Maycee is in love with itty bitty I had to order 5 of them. She sleeps with her every night on top of her face as an eye mask. I mean we have to go every where with Itty Bitty! She comes to the store, in the car seat everywhere! At first we put her with Maycee because we wanted to to love itty bitty but now She is a must!

Just wanted to personally tell you thanks for helping Half the Sky! Our daughter was in a HTS orphanage and received surgery in Beijing through Half the Sky as well. Your time and money are put to great use! Our daughter was VERY well loved and cared for throughout her time in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. The nanny sobbed when she had to leave Avery with us - a sure sign that she was very well loved and part of a 'family' there. Avery has been home one year, has grown 4 inches, and gained 8 lbs! She is thriving in her forever family and her transition has been wonderful.

Quite A Pair Are Tanner And Mister Bear

As sweet as can be, lays 6 month old Tanner in his comfy chair. He fondly gazes upon his best friend indeed, Mister Bear.

Their story began on a wonderful day when Tanner first arrived home and his Aunt Lauren presented him with a very special gift. It was a lovable little Silly Buddy that came all the way from Cricket Island just for him.

Each and every day since Tanner loves to hug and tug on Mister Bear's dangling arms and legs. Above all, he likes the snuggly soft feel of Mister Bear against his face especially at sleepy time.

One day on the way to daycare, Tanner's mother Laine realized on her rush out the door that Mister Bear was not there with them. With a back-up pacifier, she thought everything would be fine. Alas, throughout the day he fussed and mussed and fought his naps until his teacher Miss Tracy realized what was wrong. He simply just missed his best friend, Mister Bear!

They went to the toy box in pursuit of a stuffed animal with the same soft texture as Mister Bear. Laine realized how attached Tanner had become to his Silly Buddy at nap time when she returned to retrieve him from daycare and he was fast asleep cuddling with the faux Mister Bear.

Laine just purchased Mister Bear #2 because as you can see the original has become the perfect face for Tanner to chew on as his tiny baby teeth begin to show and grow.

Hi! I am looking for a specific blanket that you guys used to carry. My daughter got one about 2 years ago and we wanted to get another for our baby on the way. It is a regular (kid) sized blanket, not the small squares that was super soft on both sides and had the silky edging all the way around. I think it came rolled up in the arms of a little bunny I looked all over your site but couldn't find them, do you still carry these? Thank you so much!

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

A beautiful bunny with a blanket of blue landed on the doorstep of the Shrake household as a gift for their brand new baby boy. Three years later, another boy was born into the family named Benjamin. One day, as a way to soothe Ben from his tears, the bunny was placed inside his crib. It was love at first hug.

As Ben began to grow a voice of his own along with a sense of humor, he amusingly announced that the name of the bunny was now "Money."

Ben and "Money" are never far apart from one another. Just like a true best friend, Ben likes to involve "Money" in everything that he does. One night at bath time, Ben grabbed him and tossed him in the tub exclaiming, "Money, swim?!" This is why Ben's mother, Kim loves "Money" so much as well because he is so easy to clean and keeps nice and soft after several washings.
